Meet The Team

Steve Spett

Co-Founder / Head of Contract Division

Steve founded Resource Furniture with his partner Ron Barth in 2000. Since then, they have built Resource into the global transforming furniture brand that it is today. One of Steve’s primary focuses is on our dedicated Contract Division, working closely with developers, hoteliers and their design teams. He also focuses on his clients, staff, and family (but not necessarily in that order).

Challie Stillman

Vice President, Marketing & Brand Strategy

Challie is our very own Wonder Woman, responsible for managing vendor relationships, curating the Resource collection, and overseeing sales and design operations across all showrooms. She works closely with the Contract Division on large-scale, multi-family residential projects. In addition to all of that, Challie also completed her MBA at NYU Stern School of Business.

Pat Pujols

Vice President, Finance & Operations

After obtaining her BBA at Baruch College and an MBA in Finance at St. John’s University, Pat worked for several years as a Controller. She now keeps the ship moving at Resource as our HR and finances expert. But she’s not just all about numbers — she also happens to be our in-house pizza aficionado. Pat spent her teenage years in the Dominican Republic and wishes she could bring the gorgeous weather and beaches back with her to New York (don’t we all!). She’s happiest when she’s hiking upstate and spending time outdoors, and she loves spending time with her son and daughter.

Christine Salzer

Vice President, Sales

Christine was born to German parents and raised in Eastern Ontario, Canada. The furniture business is in her blood — her father was Vice President of a successful furniture company, and he is even known to be one of the first developers of the sit/stand desk! Christine has worked with Resource for over 11 years, beginning as a Sales & Design Consultant at our New York showroom before briefly moving to New Orleans, then to LA to open our first expansion showroom, and finally returning to NY, where she assumed her current role. She loves food, her kids, and her husband (and Challie!) though not in that order…

Jake Verost

New York Showroom Manager

Jake, in fact, does know everything. It’s irritating and invaluable at the same time — which is confusing, yet comforting. If you have a 3’ x 5’ room and need to sleep 14 people, Jake could definitely figure out how to fit in two more. Go ahead, just try to stump him.

Kirk Schuly

Senior Project Manager

No stairwell is too narrow, no order too custom for backpack-toting Kirk. As Senior Project Manager, Kirk handles all the logistical details to ensure a smooth delivery and installation. Whether he's getting furniture to the top of a six-story walkup, or figuring out that the ceiling is 2” lower than the furniture before the order is placed, Kirk makes sure every little detail is attended to.

Pieter Depreeuw

Director of Project Management & Technical Services

Originally from Belgium, Pieter is our resident director of project management & technical services. With degrees in woodworking and drafting and experience in general construction and furniture manufacturing, Pieter knows a thing or two about furniture design. That is why he is tasked with overseeing the work of our project managers, providing technical support to all showrooms, and working with our manufacturers to continuously improve our products. There’s little Pieter can’t do!

Curt Meissner

New York Project Manager

Curt was most recently the creative principal at a Brooklyn-based design/build studio that worked on an array of residential, corporate, and museum projects. He's our go-to guy, responsible for site measurements, overseeing installations, and providing in-field customer service.

Maria Marcellino

Sales & Design Consultant

Maria loves all things New York – the culture, the energy, the fact everyone is always drinking coffee, herself included. Having worked for Disney, she likes to add a touch of magic to everything she does. It is only fitting Maria finds Resource Furniture an enchanting place to work. With a background in Art History, she's found herself admiring the effects a space can have on a person, the same way she admires the effects artwork can have. When she is not designing, she is usually at yoga, planning her next trip, at a music festival, or planning her next trip to a music festival.

Lauren Carpenter

Sales & Design Consultant

Originally hailing from Alabama, Lauren spent the last decade in New York working for a variety of retailers specializing in high-end furnishings including Design Within Reach and ABC Carpet & Home. She loves renovations, restorations, vintage shopping, antiquing — anything to do with design! Her home in Brooklyn allows her to spend her free time in Prospect Park, a favorite spot in her new adopted city.

Kathryn Leroux

Draftsman & Sales Assistant

Born and raised in Buffalo, NY but Kathryn knew early on that NYC would become her home even before she came to visit. She transferred to the Fashion Institute of Technology and graduated with her bachelor's degree in Interior Design. Kathryn loves to be creative in all different aspects, you can find her editing videos, painting, and doing DIY projects in her spare time. If you’re ever in the office around lunchtime, you can usually follow the trail of aroma to her desk since she’s been told numerous times that her food smells amazing (all credit goes to the chef boyfriend)!

Jessica Leon


Born and raised in NYC, Jessica graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice Management from John Jay College. When she's not at work keeping the Resource HQ running smoothly, Jessica dedicates her time to her candle business which she handcrafts in small batches from her home. Jessica’s love and appreciation for creativity and aromatherapy keeps her happy and grounded. Jessica enjoys picnics, painting, bike riding and spending time with her Yorkie Shiloh.

Bridgette Morgan

Purchasing Manager

Bridgette brings a broad range of experience to her position at Resource, having previously worked with artists' management company Opus 3 Artists and the humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders. She received her BBA in Finance with a Minor in Communications from Baruch College, Zicklin School of Business. When she’s not busy with our books, you’ll find Bridgette binge-watching mysteries, thrillers, and horror programs!

Massimo Zambon


Made in Japan, honed in Italy. Accounting is his field of expertise, but he is always looking to learn something new — every day, one lesson at the time.

Mirae Roh

Order Manager

Mirae is a self-described foodie and believes Queens to be superior to Manhattan when it comes to dining options. She's also a sucker for pretty cocktails (acquired during her years working as a bartender), puppies, and crisping herself in the sun.

Aly Gallegos

Director of Customer Service & Logistics

Born and raised in Anaheim, CA (home of Disneyland!), Aly made the move to the NYC in 2016 and has been here ever since. She handles east coast logistics, as well as all out-of-state shipments for our U.S. showrooms. Aly is also a practical sommelier of tequilas and mescals, and is always trying new types. And if you happen to be looking for a good hot sauce, Aly is your girl — she puts it on almost everything!

Samantha Cunningham

Director of Operations

Samantha hails from Queens, loves all things Elvis Presley, and enjoys spicy food (preferably paired with a glass of wine). With a background in the arts, Sam traveled to Ghana to study traditional African arts and after graduating college, lived in Thailand for a year teaching English. As our director of operations, Sam oversees purchasing, manages inventory, and handles all logistics to ensure a smooth arrival from Italy. If that weren't impressive enough, she's also mom to twin baby girls!

Miriam Barrington

New York Logistics Manager

Miriam was born and raised in the beautiful island of Trinidad & Tobago and moved to the US in 1988 with her husband and her son. She has worked in the furniture delivery & installation world for over 15 years. Before joining Resource Furniture's Logistics team, Miriam worked for Decor Corporate Services for 6 years, where she worked on the Resource account and helped us out of quite a few jams! We are pleased to now have her on the Resource team as our New York Logistics Manager.

Trish Steen

Director of Business Development

Trish comes to Resource with a rich and diverse professional background; after earning her BFA in fine arts sculpture, she went on to gain experience in product development, design, merchandising, and sales. She often describes her experience and skill set as "complex, but not complicated." When she is not working her magic in the Contract Division, you may find Trish hiking, biking, taking an ocean swim at sunrise, or training for her next triathlon. (That's right, she also happens to be a USAT-certified triathlon and marathon coach, and an 8-time full distance Ironman!) If you love anything that gets your blood pumping, Trish is your girl!

John Rattinger

NetSuite Administrator

John is our resident NetSuite (software that runs our entire company) expert here at Resource Furniture, always working on new solutions to help the business run more efficiently. His favorite thing about is role is that it allows him to work with many different departments on all sorts of problems: "I truly enjoy working closely with everyone and building strong working relationships.” Prior to working with NetSuite, John was a Wall Street technology executive – last stop Lehman Brothers. When not working, you can find him watching or playing live music, watching sports (especially lacrosse), or hiking.

Gabriella Pomata

Marketing Director

Shortly before joining our Marketing team, Gabriella studied English, communications and PR at SUNY New Paltz. She also happens to be an interiors fanatic, obsessively staying on top of the latest trends and tastemakers. She manages our marketing team here at Resource, directing strategy, writing newsletters, overseeing our social media, and more. Gabriella’s greatest loves are hiking, beaches, and her labradoodle pup, Luna.

AJ Duff

Marketing Assistant

Born and raised in Las Vegas, AJ received his received his B.S. in Business Administration from Chapman University in California before finding his new home in Brooklyn. As Resource Furniture's Marketing Assistant, he is an expert content creator and curator with his finger on the pulse of all the latest trends and algorithm updates. Aside from being a social media guru, he also has a wealth of experience in photography and graphic design!

Omar Soto

Graphic Designer

Omar is from Queens, and earned his BA in Communication Design at the NYC College of Technology. As our in-house graphic designer, he’s got the creativity bug — which would explain why he’s one of the sharper dressers in the office. In his spare time, Omar enjoys painting illustrations and exploring new places. He is also the proud parent of an adorable baby girl named Sophia (as well as a salt and pepper schnauzer named Bruno)!

Emily Ingram

Seattle Showroom Manager / Director of Business Development

Emily grew up in San Jose, and after a few years in New York she made her way back to the west coast. As Director of Business Development, Emily builds and strengthens our relationships with the trade and explores new partnership opportunities for our Contract Division. When she is not working her magic at Resource Furniture, Emily likes exploring new places with her dogs Phypher and Olivia in tow.

Lisa Johnsen

Sales & Design Consultant | Seattle

Despite her Oregon roots, Lisa spent her formative years in Cherry Hill, NJ, and considers herself a Jersey Girl at heart. Armed with a BFA in Interior Design and an MBA with a concentration in Project Management, Lisa is more than equipped to assist our clients with their space-saving furniture needs. When she's not being brilliant in the showroom, she’s likely exercising, mastering her culinary skills, and spending time with family and friends!

Julie Bowers

Sales & Design Consultant | Seattle

A native Pacific Northwesterner, Julie comes to Resource with a wealth of experience in interior design and space planning, having worked as a Design Consultant and Showroom Visual Merchandiser at BoConcept for over 10 years. She has a great eye for detail and she's ready to tackle your next project!

Tyler Davis

Los Angeles Showroom Manager

After growing up in California, Tyler made his way to New York (on his motorcycle to boot!) and spent a decade working in furniture and design. Now he’s back on the west coast with his family, and in his spare time (used loosely, as all young parents will know) he’s a drummer, camper and woodworker.

Andy Zeff

Sales & Design Consultant | LA

Andy is an LA native, and a well-established designer in the LA design community; one of the first to be made a Certified Interior Designer in California, in fact. In addition to his design background, he has worked as an anthropologist living among the Maya in Guatemala, collected folk art in Mexico, and practiced as an art therapist with at-risk youth. He’s also devoted to his workouts and hits the gym at least five times a week — a true Renaissance man, if there ever was one!

Craig Kramer

Sales & Design Consultant | LA

Craig is native Angelo with a passion for design. A former showroom owner, he has decades of experience in Home Furnishings, Architecture, and Hospitality. In his free time, he loves meditation, gardening (succulents anyone?), spending time with his animals, and enjoying cars both classic and new.

Yakira Valerio

Los Angeles Project Manager

Yakira has a BFA in Interior Design from Pratt Institute and a decade’s experience working as an Interior designer and Project Manager in Miami. Now living in LA, she spends her time painting or exploring the city with her dog Pita. One of her favorite things to do is to hang out in her plant room meditating or listening to relaxing music while she waters her plant babies. This would explain why Yakira is known for her calm demeanor and professionalism with our clients and staff!

Emma Michaelsen

Sales Assistant

In addition to her long history in sales, Emma comes to us with a background in music, having studied vocal performance and recording arts, most recently at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. After living in LA, she returned to her native Sweden and spent the pandemic years doing music therapy and coaching people with mental disabilities. Now she’s back in California as our latest addition to the LA team. She attributes her passion for design and architecture to an early introduction by her father.

Gregory Johnson

San Francisco Showroom Manager

Gregory grew up in Washington State but has lived in San Francisco for almost 25 years. With a degree in Interior Design and a background Visual Display, he keeps our San Francisco showroom looking beautiful. Outside of work, Gregory can often be found spelunking around estate sales hunting for unique treasures, and — like many of us — he’s a foodie.

Mark Eppley

Sales & Design Consultant | SF

Mark is a 14-year furniture industry veteran and avid cyclist from Minnesota with a thirst for industrial design. As our newest Sales and Design Consultant, Mark certainly hits the ground running!

Matthew Giesen

San Francisco Project Manager

Following graduation from San Francisco State University, Matthew decided to travel east – by bicycle! A 2,500-mile cross-country trek found him smack in the heart of New York City building scenery for fashion shows, store windows, and Broadway stages. After a few years, Matthew cycled back to San Francisco (by way of Canada this time, for real) and started making custom furniture (check out his personal work here). When he’s not improving the lives of Resource Furniture clients, you’ll find him on his mountain bike or hunting for gems and minerals — even prospecting for a little (very little) gold! — as part of the San Francisco Gem & Mineral Society.

Larry Malamphy

Sales & Design Consultant | D.C.

Larry was born and raised in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area — yes, really! He earned his BA in Architecture from Virginia Tech and joined Resource Furniture with over 17 years of experience in architecture, residential design, space planning, and furniture selection. He's an avid swimmer and, if you cannot find him in the pool, check for the guy with wet hair at the movie theater. Larry can eat an entire Costco sheet cake in one sitting… hence the swimming. In his free time, he enjoys searching for unique treasures like unusual windows from demolished homes, tiny oil cans, and old bowling balls that make beautiful additions to the yard and garden. And he loves everything orange!!

Natasha Perez

D.C. Showroom Manager

Natasha comes to Resource with a wealth of experience in luxury furniture, having worked for B&B Italia for five years (as a Sales Associate in New York, Business Developer in Dallas, and as Miami Showroom Manager). Prior to that, she worked at Design Within Reach and Restoration Hardware in NYC. After studying architecture and industrial design in Puerto Rico, she moved to New York and attended Parsons for Interior Design, followed by a Master’s in Design Management from Pratt. She has an adorable toddler, a passion for design, and an infectious laugh!

David Hooper

Vancouver Showroom Owner / Stunt Man

Now that he's no longer falling out of trees or fighting Jackie Chan, David has “retired" into the wonderful world of small spaces. (We use the term “retired” here loosely—his idea of taking a vacation is leaving the showroom for half a day!) David’s inner stun man still comes out every now and then. Just ask for "Transformable Dave" when you visit our Vancouver location!

Chloe Willison

Operations Manager

With nearly six years at Resource under her belt, Chloe is our resident behind the scenes champion. Want to know the latest news from Italy? She’s got you covered. Need to know where your order is at any one time? A few clicks and she’ll clue you in. When she’s not managing the day-to-day of our Vancouver location, you can find her hiking in the mountains and exploring local eateries… Because life is all about balance!

George Adamian

Sales & Design Consultant | Vancouver

Originally from Georgia, David has been a proud Canadian for over 25 years. A master measurer, David can answer any question you might have when it comes to storage and closet systems — you will never find him without his measuring tools. He makes his home in beautiful North Vancouver with his wife, dog, and grown children nearby.

Davor Sikljan

Technical Lead & Warehouse Manager

Davor is just about the coolest guy you’ll ever meet. His technical knowledge has granted him status as our in-house walking encyclopedia, and he’s always on hand to ensure smooth sailing for every delivery and installation. Plenty of hands on experience with our product means no problem is too complex for him! Outside of Resource you’re guaranteed to find Davor outdoors, rock climbing or snowboarding in beautiful BC.

Mark Adolf

Calgary Showroom Co-Owner, Development Director

Whether developing marketing ideas or new partnerships, Mark is always looking for ways to grow our business in Alberta. Beyond Resource, Mark is very involved in the social impact world by volunteering his time as president of the PREP Program board and working with kids and youth. Along with being a husband to a beautiful wife and father to two boys, his days are always filled with excitement.

Darren Malin

Calgary Showroom Co-Owner, Logistics & Finance Director

As our customers finalize their design plans, Darren jumps into action to manage and oversee ordering, shipping, and installation. Most of his work is behind the scenes as he navigates and masters the worlds of efficiency, logistics, and finances. Outside of Resource, Darren loves spending time with his family.

Christopher Sinclar

Sales & Design Consultant | Toronto

Do not be fooled by his youthful appearance (which he claims was achieved by Oil of Olay twice a day); Chris has extensive knowledge in all things design. With a background in Architecture and Interior Design, Chris will ensure your home is the perfect Modern concept.

Janine Eckardt

Sales & Design Consultant | Toronto

Janine's fascination with material compositions and form extends beyond the furniture showroom; she also sews a lot of her own clothing! Her primary focus is interior design, though, so call her when you're ready to transform your space with Resource Furniture.

David Kuri

Go-To Guy | Mexico City

David is responsible for spreading the word about Resource Furniture in Mexico. He also manages communications with Italy and the USA. David is dedicated to ensuring every Resource client is a happy client, and his enthusiasm and knowledge of the product makes David your contact for inquiries of any kind.

Ignacio Kuri

Showroom Visionary

Ignacio is an expert at creating renderings, and his passion for architecture is unmatched. No project is impossible when Ignacio is involved. He is the backbone of the showroom, keeping things running smoothly. And no one dares to challenge him because he is always right!

Jimena Hernandez

Customer Service Manager

Jimena was born in Mexico, and studied in Montreal, Canada (can you tell that she speaks English with a French-Canadian accent?). With her creativity, initiative, and contagious smile, Jimena makes sure that every client is very well taken care of.
